WHAT TIME IS IT?

Have you synchronized your watch with God’s clock today?  Or does it feel His clock is running slow?  I guess it depends on what time zone you are living in.  Is your focus only on Pacific (Eastern, etc.) standard and daylight time or... where earth linear time intersects with spiritual time, where “all things are possible” and where you are conscious of the “the fullness of time” (Galatians 4:4)?

The book of Ecclesiastes has a lot to say about time, that there is a "time" for everything.

For me, it is a time to search…to search the scriptures about “end time events,” about Jesus’ Second Coming, about deeper intimacy with God, recognizing and routing out unbelief that keeps me from growing in faith and in my relationship with Him.  Maybe it is the craziness, wars, and “unraveling” of our present world that pushes me to search. Maybe it is the awareness that, although my spirit seems to growing stronger, my body isn’t keeping up. Maybe God is preparing me for that day when I “step across the threshold” into eternity time where the complete revelation of His Love will be revealed that my finite mind cannot yet fully grasp (Don't worry, the Lord willing, I'm not planning on going anywhere soon!).

The writer of Ecclesiastes continues, “God makes all things beautiful in His time,” words of hope that assure me that no matter what time it is on God’s clock, it will always be the right time.  That's "heaven on earth"!

1 For everything there is a season,
a time for every activity under heaven.
2 A time to be born and a time to die.
A time to plant and a time to harvest.
3 A time to kill and a time to heal.
A time to tear down and a time to build up.
4 A time to cry and a time to laugh.
A time to grieve and a time to dance.
5 A time to scatter stones and a time to gather stones.
A time to embrace and a time to turn away.
6 A time to search and a time to quit searching.
A time to keep and a time to throw away.
7 A time to tear and a time to mend.
A time to be quiet and a time to speak.
8 A time to love and a time to hate.
A time for war and a time for peace.
